Meet the Team

Tim Fleming - CA (PP) ACIS

Tim is the Director of the firm with over 20 years experience in the industry and the CA environment.  He is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Practitioner.  His skills and expertise include management advisory services, corporate structuring, valuation, litigation support and expert witness work. His wide variety of experience provides a solid base for understanding client issues and for providing recommendations. Tim is a motorcycle enthusiast.  He owns and rides a Harley Davidson.  He is also interested in sports cars (the faster and fancier the better).  He loves everything to do with Hawaii and eventually hopes to live out his retirement years on Kona, the Big Island in Hawaii.  Prior to this however, he will have to make a lot of money because all the staff have indicated that they will be joining him there for long extended holidays.

David Metford - BCom (Hons) NZ Dip Bus Acctg

Dave joined us in August 2004 as a part-time staff member while completing his studies at Auckland University. Having graduated at the end of 2008 with a BCom and first class honours in accounting, Dave is now a full-time staff member. He is very skilled in the preparation of annual accounts and in finding the most advantageous income tax position for clients. He has a particular interest and expertise in business operations, including inventory forecasting, MRP systems, and special projects. In addition to working, Dave competes in classic motorsport at every opportunity.  He is also an intermediate level Ceroc dancer and enjoys downhill mountain bike racing when time allows.

Doris Parker

Doris joined TFA in July 2007 as our Office Manager “Extraordinaire” (her word).  She keeps the admin side of things operating smoothly and handles our internal MYOB accounting functions. Doris is another Westie.  She lists her hobbies as reading, eating, sleeping, taking long bubble baths and drinking lots of fine wine.  She is a keen sportswoman and loves to exercise (NOT). Doris says she absolutely loves working for TFA, primarily because her fellow workers are such wonderful people (again, her words…although the boss was standing nearby at the time).

Linda Pilkington

Linda has completed her certificate in small business accounting and partially completed her NZ Diploma in Business. Her work experience includes working for the IRD, Price Waterhouse Coopers and in manufacturing environments in Brisbane, Australia. Linda returned home to West Auckland Christmas of 2006 and joined us in January 2007. She has a son and daughter, keeps herself fit, loves gardening and DIY projects (we’re told she swings a mean paint brush), and is an armchair sports enthusiast (emphasis on the armchair).

Lynne Shepherd

Lynne joined Tim Fleming Associates in September 2008 and is glad she did (her words).  Lynne ensures the smooth running of our practice as the Practice Manager. She has vast experience in the accounting field having completed seven years accounting in a Chartered Accountants office before moving on to Corporate Accounting for a publicly listed company, where she spent several years as the Financial Accountant and running the Finance Department. Lynne returned to Chartered Accountancy in August 2006 and moved into Practice Management in August 2007. Lynne likes to remain fit and active and enjoys walking, occasional visits to the gym (to say regular would be lying) and thinking about exercise (because she is sure that just thinking about it must help).  Lynne says she is a wonderful addition to the team….……?

Nicola Dawe - CA BBS Dip Prof Acctg

Nicola joined our team in June 2009 and she is glad she did (Lynne said so). Nicola is a Chartered Accountant with five years experience in a medium sized accounting practice. She has excellent knowledge in all facets of accounting and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting from Massey University. Nicola has a keen interest in Geocaching (Google it – she said it’s fun?)  She visits the gym on a regular basis and enjoys dining out, watching movies and exploring the great outdoors.

Buddy Fleming

Buddy joined Tim Fleming Associates in 2007 as a Maltese/Bichon Frise cross of the canine variety.  He is primarily charged with the onerous task of being the office mascot. Although he has no accountancy qualifications his time-keeping skills are legendary and he is always on time for walkies and munchies. Buddy’s main duties include meeting and greeting (sniffing) all visitors to the office. Unlike other team members, he is always readily available for cuddles, no appointment necessary.
