Meet the Team

Tim Fleming – CA (PP) ACIS

Tim is the Director of the firm with over 20 years experience in the industry and the CA environment.  He is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Practitioner.  His skills and expertise include management advisory services, corporate structuring, valuation, litigation support and expert witness work.His wide variety of experience provides a solid base for understanding client issues and for providing recommendations.Tim is a motorcycle enthusiast.  He owns and rides a Harley Davidson.  He is also interested in sports cars (the faster and fancier the better).  He loves everything to do with Hawaii and eventually hopes to live out his retirement years on Kona, the Big Island in Hawaii.  Prior to this however, he will have to make a lot of money because all the staff have indicated that they will be joining him there for long extended holidays.

 

David Metford – ACA BCom (Hons) NZ Dip Bus Acctg

David has been working in Chartered Accounting for over 7 years, and prior to that worked in a commercial accounting environment for 4 years.  David is highly skilled in the preparation of annual financial statements for all types of entities, with an excellent understanding of tax law and business structures.

Of  particular interest to David is trust law and administration, with a focus on asset protection.  There have been a number of developments in this area so David is continually upskilling and is a valuable resource when it comes to family trusts.

David is an Associated Chartered Accountant, has a BCom with first class Honours from the University of Auckland, and is a certified advisor for Xero online accounting software.

Outside of work, David is a keen competitor in the AES TradeZone classic race car series, where he finished second overall for the 2011/2012 season and was honoured with the convenor’s award for sportsmanship.  To keep in shape, David can regularly be found mountain biking and swiming.

 

Doris Parker

Doris joined TFA in July 2007 as our Office Manager “Extraordinaire” (her word).  She keeps the admin side of things operating smoothly and handles our internal Xero accounting functions. Doris is another Westie.  She lists her hobbies as reading, eating, sleeping, taking long bubble baths and drinking lots of fine wine.  She is a keen sportswoman and loves to exercise (NOT). Doris loves working for TFA, primarily because her fellow workers are such wonderful people.

 

Nicola Fleming – CA BBS Dip Prof Acctg

Nicola joined our team in June 2009. She is a Chartered Accountant with five years experience in a medium sized accounting practice. Nicola  has excellent knowledge in all facets of accounting and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting from Massey University.  Nicola is a certified advisor for Xero online accounting software.

She has a keen interest in Geocaching (Google it – she said it’s fun?), visits the gym on a regular basis and enjoys dining out, watching movies and exploring the great outdoors, with her wonderful husband Mike.

Buddy Fleming

Buddy joined Tim Fleming Associates in 2007 as a Maltese/Bichon Frise cross of the canine variety.  He is primarily charged with the onerous task of being the office mascot. Although he has no accountancy qualifications his time-keeping skills are legendary and he is always on time for walkies and munchies. Buddy’s main duties include meeting and greeting (sniffing) all visitors to the office. Unlike other team members, he is always readily available for cuddles, no appointment necessary.
